Families and friends of those laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery have given tribute gifts to help maintain the community landmark and honor those they love ... through our Endowment Fund.Its principle includes a set-aside portion of the sale price of each lot, along with memorial tributes for those buried here and other gifts.

In 2009, Lloyd Paulson of Moorhead established the Beverly Paulson Memorial Challenge. In memory of his wife Beverly Gerhardson Paulson, he has pledged to provide a dollar-for-dollar match for bequests or current charitable gifts to the Endowment Fund. Gifts may be pledged over a period of five years.

The goal of the Beverly Paulson Memorial Challenge is to raise $200,000 in bequests and charitable gifts ... all to be used exclusively to guarantee the perpetual care of loved ones' final resting places.

Beverly Gerhardson Paulson served on the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery board of directors until her death in 2009. She helped initiate the Perpetual Care Endowment Fund and Memorial Plaza, where contributors of $1,000 or  more are recognized among a list of honored friends. She is interred here, along with her great-grandparents N.A. Anderson Muller and Hanna Anderson Muller, who died in 1915 and 1911.
