Evergreen Memorial Cemetery was established in 1885 by Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN. Originally known as Swedish Lutheran Cemetery, it was enlarged and renamed in 1958 — when its mission was broadened from a resting place for the church's members to a true community cemetery.

All are welcome at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery .... people of all religions, races, colors and creeds.

Management of the cemetery is financed by a perpetual building fund, established in 1958, and built with a portion of the price of each lot that is sold.

An endowment fund was established in 2001. Family members often join together to make a contribution in memory of a loved one. Gifts are tax deductible.

Memorial contributions are also earmarked to assist with maintaining a quiet, beautiful final resting place.
